Zero Carbon Challenge
The Zero Carbon Challenge, sponsored by Wellington City Council, is one of Aotearoa’s most successful early-stage business support programmes. It aims to promote climate solutions and low-carbon economic development for a brighter, more vibrant and liveable city.
What is Zero Carbon Challenge?
The Zero Carbon Challenge is an eight-week series of events including workshops, mentoring, community networking, and collaboration opportunities. The programme supports a cohort of people and teams with climate solution ideas to better understand the fundamentals of their business proposition, connect with mentors, advisors and partners, and grow their community to launch successful crowdfunding campaigns.
This provides early-stage businesses and organisations the opportunity to scale up and thrive, meeting more customers’ needs and contributing to lower carbon emissions in the Wellington region.
Where does PledgeMe come in?
PledgeMe has partnered with Wellington City Council to help deliver the crowdfunding campaigns of Zero Carbon Challenge to help fund innovative climate solutions. Participants are invited to three workshops (virtual participation possible) where they learn how to activate their crowds and build up their campaigns for funding. Once participating campaigns have launched, they are provided with guidance and feedback, with the aim of reaching their campaign targets.
