I’m ready to create a campaign

Stuff you need to know

Kia ora! Welcome to the PledgeMe Project Crowdfunding Education guide.
This is where we will walk you through how to run a successful project crowdfunding campaign.

Five things to do for your Project campaign.

Crowdfunding is work. There’s no β€˜crowd in the cloud’ waiting to pledge to you. It is up to you to put in the time to identify your crowd and determine whether they’d support your crowdfunding campaign, involve them in your planning, and create a campaign that will inspire others to pledge. Our Crowdfunding Canvas is a handy one-page view of all the parts of a successful campaign - use it to guide you through all the stages of a successful campaign.

Plan

You may think this is the boring part of a campaign, but it is the most important. What is your idea, budget, marketing plan, who is your team, crowd, and how long will your campaign run for?

Pitch

Everything on your project page should help turn an apathetic reader into a pledger, starting with your description.

Rewards

Rewards drive people to pledge, and honour those who do pledge. People want to support you, but a reward should inspire them to open their wallets.

Promo

What matters in crowdfunding is your ability to convince your crowd to pledge. This section covers direct promotion, social media, and traditional media.

Post

Your campaign doesn't end when the money hits your bank. This section covers what comes next.
