Changing your PledgeMe password

If you see β€˜Email has already been taken’ when trying to log in, it means you’ve already signed up to PledgeMe in the past and you just need to log in. Here’s what to do if you don’t remember your password.

When you need to reset your password, you need to fill in your email address in the login page and then click 'Forgot your password?' (see below).

Followed all the steps above in order but still can’t log in? Get in touch with the PledgeMe team at contact@pledgeme.co.nz and let us know at which step it’s going wrong.

When should I pay my pledge?

Once the campaign you have pledged on closes successfully, you will receive an email. If you chose to pay by credit card, it will be charged within the next 1-2 working days of the campaign’s close. If you chose to pay by bank transfer, you will receive the bank transfer details via an email from us and will be required to pay your pledge within the next 5 working days of receiving that email.

For equity crowdfunding campaigns, we are legally required to verify all investor addresses and identities, so it may take a few working days before your credit card is charged or you receive the bank transfer details. In the meantime, keep an eye on your inbox in case we require more information from you.

Can people living overseas pledge?

Anyone in the world can pledge to a project crowdfunding campaign. In terms of payment, it is easiest if these pledgers select the β€˜Credit Card’ payment option when pledging. If they don’t have a credit card, they should get in touch with the PledgeMe team to arrange the pledge and payment in another way.

If you are living overseas and want to invest in an equity crowdfunding campaign on PledgeMe, you can if you are a New Zealand permanent resident or citizen. If you're an international investor, you will need to confirm that you are a wholesale investor and legally allowed to invest in your home country.
